EPISODE 5: HONESTY
Well, I finally got my self in gear and produced my 5th episode. It's appropriately titled being that I speak very candidly about what has been holding me back from being productive. For a while now I've allowed myself to fall into the pit of depression again because of high expectations for my life here in Europe and also due to perfectionism. Thanks to my practice of chanting, I came to a moment of enlightenment that woke me up. So here I present Episode 5. You can call it "bearing my soul" if you want, for that is what it truly is.
You will hear that I make reference to Neale Donald Walsch and his writings as well as the Buddhist organization that has taught me the practice of Chanting. They call themselves the Soka Gakkai International or SGI. I've included more of my mother's wonderful music as well, and read my newest poem "We Are One".
I hope this episode can be an awakening for all of us. Reminding us to be honest with the world and most importantly with ourselves, in regards to who we truly are and what we are going through in life.
JourneyofPassion: Episode5

WE ARE ONE
We are one
both divine
and flesh
but all
one
How
can we allow
a child to go unfed
be thirsty, or without home?
How
can I sit here and pretend
that I don't care
what goes on out there?
As if I am somehow
not connected
to the whole
a piece
unto myself
Do you think
what hurts others
does not hurt you?
Do you believe
the lie,
the lie that tells you
you are separate,
not connected?
We must open our eyes
to see,
to see the truth
that all is one
and one is all
what hurts another
hurts us all
I await that glorious day,
the day when the world
no longer sees with it's eyes
but sees from it's heart
through an inner sight
that sees not
the things that separate us
but only
the things that bind us together
as brothers
as sisters
as family
the one thing
we share in common
our humanity

Hi, Iv listened through episode 5 and I really liked a lot of what you were saying. Though I wasn't able to give the program full attention my ears pricked up when you talked of buddhism. I have recently been looking at it quite deeply, though I have never really had the courage to take in on fully. I do hope to one day.
I ahve jsut started a blog myself, I will be discussing my feelings baout Buddhsim, I hope you'll check it out!
Your poem "We Are One" really touches my heart. That is exactly how I feel about the world. I really wish everyone would come to world peace and love one another without judgement and critisism.
That poem should be made into a framed picture and sold. I believe there are alot of people that it would touch.
Remember your are loved.
Love your sis,
Holly
